Castle Club does not trust, it verifies
KYC allows Castle Club to distinguish real people from bots, and good-faith participants from bad actors, at the point of entry.
In an environment where digital infrastructure is increasingly automated, permissionless, and easily abused, a small amount of friction protects those who intend to build, hold, and develop their Units with care. It helps prevent spam, fraud, coordinated abuse, and the short-term exploitation that degrades shared spaces over time.
This is especially important in the auction room.
Castle Club auctions are designed to reward serious participation and long-term stewardship rather than opportunistic behavior. By ensuring that bidders are known, we discourage unserious or adversarial bidding and reduce the likelihood of participants placing bids they do not intend to honor. This helps ensure that price discovery reflects genuine demand rather than noise, creating a calmer and fairer auction experience for everyone involved.
Beyond auctions, KYC supports the mindful use of Units more broadly. Castle Club is built for committed participants who understand that each Unit contributes to a shared address and reputation.
KYC is the line we draw not to intrude, but to distill a membership with the disposition to build responsibly and participate in good faith.
